Here we have an absolutely beautifully made 7 1/4" gauge Avonside Cadbury's side tank. This is one of the finest examples of model engineering that we've had come through the workshop. We've had it in our personal collection for a little while now, but the need to remember every now and again that we are trying to run a business frustratingly means that we can't keep everything! Every now and again we have to let something particularly special go, and this is one of those models. We think that underneath the skin she's essentially a modified Hercules, but certainly an extremely well done modification. The crispness of the machining work and the platework is medal winning quality, with considerable time and skill having been employed giving a level of finesse rarely seen. The backhead is also superb, with scale fittings and features that replicate the full size loco extremely well. Paint and finish is also superbly executed and you could be forgiven for thinking that the model has never seen a fire, but in fact she has been run on several occasions, just incredibly well cared for and cleaned afterwards. The only thing really missing is the lining and Cadbury/Bournville signwriting which we can look at adding if you'd like us to.
